I think point #5 is a worthy inclusion in the list, and goes right along with a verse from the New Testament, where Jesus teaches how to know if what he is teaching is true:
If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
John 7:17
P.S. I tried lots of different text prompts to get an image of the brass plates, but this is a close as I could get in a reasonable amount of time.
